Makes me want to have a whole dozen of these!!!!
(But without seeds LOL!)
I don't know which one is cuter, the kitten or the baby!

What Not to Give Your Kids to Play With!

Mom, Look how pretty she looks! I did her up just like you do your face very morning!
This poor kid is going to have to go through years of therapy to get over this one. However, if your son wants to play with dolls, I suppose this is the best option you have!!!

UUI???!!! But Officer, I swear, I wasn't drinking!

We finally received my husband's test results back. Not quite what we were hoping for. So now we have to decide on a few different options. The first is having him see a Urologist and doing a whole bunch of tests and procedures to see if we can make his end more successful. Sounds like a long, drawn out process with no gaurantee of working. The second is a UUI, an ultra uterine insemination, which sounds more promising. During this process, they will clean and dilute his semen until they have only 100% sperm. After that, they will insert his sperm into me by using a cathader and place it within an inch of the egg. This sounds more promising than all the procedures he would have to go through, because his swimmers would still have to swim the Mississippi River to reach the egg. The only downside is that we have to time everything correctly. We lucked out last time when I had my ultra sound because the doctor was able to see the egg being released. So with this procedure his swimmers only have to swim an inch. If they can't make that small of a journey, then we will have to look into either buying them a speedboat or signing them up for an express cruise. With a lot of thinking about this whole procedure and knowing that we can now be successful, I think that we will wait until June to complete this procedure. For a couple reasons. The first being that we cannot afford another Fall birthday!!!!! The second being that I have just started going to the gym and would really like to lose 40 lbs before I become pregnant. I believe this is a realistic goal. I have 4 months to complete it. That's only 10 lbs per month which is only 2.5lbs per week. Definately doable. So wish us luck and hopefully with a lighter wife, we will be even more successful!!!!

Patience is a Virtue

Welcome to my blog! This blog is entirely dedicated to the process of adding to our family. We have been trying for about 1 1/2 years now and are simply waiting to see if we have been successful this time. Feel free to look around and check everything out. While this page is underconstruction, more will be added on a daily basis. My goal with this blog, is to provide up to date information for my family and friends during our journey to parenthood. We will definately be sharing any and all information we receive and will be posting photos of the pregnancy, (once it happens, of course). So stay tuned! To begin, let's update everyone on where we are now. I went to the doctor's on Thursday, December 20th and had a confirmation that we were ready for lift off! Now all we have to do is wait and be patient for the next two weeks to see if we will be entering into parenthood territory. Thank God for the Holidays. I don't think I would be able to just sit here and patiently wait two weeks if I didn't have something to distract me. We have been so busy getting ready for the Holidays and sharing it with our loved ones. James (my husband) and I were talking last night (you know, pillow talk) and I shared with him some of the fears and excitements I have about parenthood. I told him that I was a little afraid because it would be a huge life adjustment for us. It has always just been the two of us (and our cat). Now with a baby, we will have to adjust to the three of us (and our cat). And, unlike a cat, we can't just leave a bowl of food and water out for it when we go off on our adventures. It's a little scarey and over whelming when I think of the BIG picture, but when I think of all the wonders and joys we will experience as parents, I get so excited. I know we will be great parents and that our child will be ultimately loved and want for nothing (except designer jeans, iPods, PS3's, etc.... LOL!) So anyway, back to the pillow talk, James says he believes 100% that I am already pregnant. I told him to make doubly sure that he is 100% positive because I totally believe anything he ever tells me and if he is wrong I will be even more devastate this time around. So devastated, in fact, that he had better make a trip to Hogan's Jeweler's and get the deluxe package of everything they have so it will be easier on HIM! LOL! I am trying so hard not to get my hopes up because they become squashed every month, but it's hard not to. Especially since this is the first time my husband has said that I am pregnant. He normally is right about these things, but I am soooo afraid to believe it as well. (Secretly I do, but I won't admit it EVER!). Not until the positive test comes back. But maybe if everyone crosses their fingers, it might happen. So...... We will keep you posted in regards to our adventures toward parenthood! God Bless and thanks for coming by!
